Veteran actor-turned-politician Mithun Chakraborty was hospitalized in Kolkata on Saturday morning, where he received an official diagnosis from the hospital regarding his health condition. The Kashmir Files actor has been identified with an Ischemic Cerebrovascular Accident (Stroke) affecting his brain.
According to the hospital’s statement, Mithun Chakraborty was admitted due to weakness in his right upper and lower limbs. He is presently undergoing treatment and remains under the supervision of a team of medical professionals.
The official statement released by Apollo Multispeciality Hospitals in Kolkata stated, “Shri Mithun Chakraborty (73), a National Award-winning actor, was admitted to the Emergency Department around 9.40 am with complaints of weakness in the right upper and lower limbs. Following necessary laboratory and radiology examinations, including an MRI of the brain, he has been diagnosed with an Ischemic Cerebrovascular Accident (Stroke). Currently, he is fully conscious, well-oriented, and is on a soft diet. Shri Chakraborty is undergoing further evaluation by a team of doctors, including a neuro-physician, cardiologist, and gastroenterologist.”
